Fun in the Sun with the Son

External Influence: none

I love my boy! He's at that stage now where he doesn't quite know if he's still a kid or a full blown teenager. And it's just fine by me.

We were sitting at dinner today and he announces that he's going to make a toast. Now this boy pretty much never makes toasts so I and the hubster are intrigued ... what's this kid going to say and is it going to be totally weird?

TYM raises his glass and says something to the effect that the past week of the vacation has been so delirously wonderful that he hopes that next week will be just as much fun. We clink glasses and drink.

I'm so glad he's not a full blown teenager yet .. doesn't hate everything just 'cause we like it .. isn't constantly making snide remarks. Don't get me wrong .. he does all these things. It's just that occasionally his true being shines through and he gives us jems such as that. And it makes my heart sing.

I love my boy :)

Well I think you raised him right, and those gems will continue to shine through despite the teenageness that is coming lol

I hope that's the truth! We'll see as he gets more and more hormonally imbalanced LOL

Aww, what a lovely thing for him to say! Cherish these moments, Anya! ;-)

And btw, LURVE your icon. *grins* I have this uncontrollable urge to snog it, actually... lol

I do cherish them! That's one of the reasons I try and write these things down ... so when he's a total monster I can come here and relive them ;)

Awww you like my icon ... I can't imagine why ;) LOL and if you decide to snog it ... just watch out and don't get electrocuted!
