Saturday, In The Park .... Well Not Really

External Influence: birds chirping and sprinklers spraying

Most of you know that I'm on vacation in Delaware. It's a 9 hour trip with the car loaded up to the gills. Can I just give a quick shout-out to my kids who have always been, and continue to be, excellent long distance travelers .. wooohoooo bratlings!


Got here in record time (thank goodness no construction delays) only were stuck for 1/2 hour at the bridge which is normal. Got to the house, which was exactly the same as it was last year, including the bikes my kids used ... another wooohooo .... I'll be able to kick 'em out of the house when they start driving me batty and tell them to go ride around the block a few times!!


My 'rents showed up a couple hours later which wasn't the best thing .. that first day is so exhausting and having to be on my best behaviour when I'm tired is quite the trick ;) But dinner went well and if it wasn't for the kids all would have been smooth sailing. But those young ones decided to decompress after that long trip LOL oh my goodness did they ever decompress!! My 13 year old was acting as if he was 6 and my 10 year old as if she was 16 *rolleyes* May I just say, it was a very "interesting" evening!


That's about it for Saturday ... I'll post about Sunday, which wasn't all that exciting, later. If I don't get sidetracked, which I probably will LOL


Oh by the way folks ... yesterday and today it's in the 90s here with high humidity and no wind! It's been a long time since I've experienced this type of heat *eek*
