I Don't Get It

I belong to several on-line groups. I know most such organizations suffer internal stife of one sort or another. I've lived through a few of them by just ignoring the events 'cause they were caused by idiotic youngsters. And such fools are easly ignored.


I've read the whole story behind the "Harry Potter Fandom" fiasco and that was enough to stand my hair on end. Sickening to what end people will go to to generate sympathy and publicity. What's going on in one of my mailing lists doesn't compare ... but I still don't get it.


A few months ago a war of words erupted when one member was offended by the terminology (colorful metaphors) used by other members. It was brutal and overall insane and directed primarily at the more polite members of the group ... finally most folk on the list agreed to let the whole thing die.


Jump forward a few months and one of these jokers (not a teenager ... married with kid(s) )creates a CafePress graphic depicting the afore mentioned colorful metaphors. And posts it on the mailing list ... not to the specific people for whom it was created (the other crazies who truly appreciate such humor) but to the ENTIRE mailing list and adds that if "you" (the reader) have problems with this graphic "I DON'T CARE" . Riiiiiiiiiiight ... I believe THAT! This guy is so obviously looking for another fight.


Now, I ask you ... Should I call this joker on trying to start this whole insanity up again or should I just keep my mouth shut and allow this dead horse to die again. I'm leaning towards the latter option but I'm still a bit steamed! And I totally DO NOT GET this type of behaviour.
